Shadow Mountain Lodge sits at the base of Shadow Mountain in Aspen’s quaint Victorian West End. The Resort is within walking distance of everything Aspen has to offer. The single most popular pastime in the Winter, of course, is skiing both downhill and cross-country. In the Summer the area offers a plethora of activities from hiking and horseback riding to white water rafting and fly fishing.
Nestled against the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the resort is ideally located to offer the best of winter recreational activies. The world famous Beaver Creek ski area is just five minutes from the resort, and offers 1500 acres of skiing with a vertical drop of 3,340 feet and a top elevation of 11,440 feet. There are 33 runs, the longest of which is nearly three miles. Vail is only eight miles away and offers the largest single ski mountain system of trails and open bowls in North America. Summer activities abound with hiking, golf, Jeep touring, kayaking, river rafting, biking, and a lot more.
Falcon Point's amenities include a heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool, three whirlpool spas, sauna, and exercise room. Each unit is equipped with a hair dryer, humidifier, CD player, television and DVD/VCR. Other favorite winter activities include ice-skating and snowmobiling. In summer, golf, biking, horseback riding, rafting, tennis, hiking, and fishing can be enjoyed nearby.
Sheraton Mountain Vista is conveniently located in the heart of the Vail Valley's Avon/Beaver Creek Resort area. Within walking distance of restaurants and shopping, this resort is only a shuttle ride away from some of the top slopes in America. Besides downhill skiing, winter activities include cross-country skiing and ice-skating. Summer brings golf, hiking, biking, and fishing. Amenities include a seventh floor sun deck, exercise facility, pool, and whirlpools.
Onsite guests enjoy an indoor pool and hot tub. Close by are the slopes of Breckenridge, with more than 70 miles of trails, and a ski school is 10 minutes away. Summer adventures include Jeep trips, white-water rafting, alpine slide or human maze. Summit County has four golf courses and many public tennis courts. Lake Dillon offers sailing under spectacular scenery, and hiking is right out the back door, or try the Quandry Trail across the street.
